DIY jean shorts. Scissors, razor blade, twizzers, and bleach from 99cent store. We used a T.J. Maxx plastic bag to make sure that we only got bleach on the certain parts of the shorts. So one pair has bleach only on the bottom and the other has one leg bleached. You just never know how theses types of projects will come out. I think this went well and turned out the way we had it in our head!

Anticipated Serendipity
![]() |
| We like to experiment with hair in our family. I am so glad that my kids trust me to bleach and color their hair as I am from the school of YouTube. The color we attributed to serendipity as we were going for blue but this was just as cute..right? We had not anticipated all the other people that would have the same color hair. Back to black just like that. |

Painful Pleasure
![]() | |
| DIY seems fitting for Friday. Maybe with a weekend ahead of me I can get my DIY on...oh but how do I choose my poison? With so many wonderful DIY ideas out there! So to narrow the choices lets say I am going to upgrade my accessory box. My first choice is this super cute DIY ear cuff. You can get the details for this DIY at Honestly WTF. |

| These extremely cute bracelets are my number two choice. SWELLMAYDE has this and many more super awesome DIYs. |

| A hair accessory is my third choice. One thing I really like about this cute gypsy headband DIY is that there are only 7 steps. |
| Lastly is a Cotton + Leather Clutch Purse. I found this DIY at one of my favorite sites A Beautiful Mess. |

Wish List Wednesday
I was looking for a leather dress. So who better to ask for help then ShopStyle.com (I spend a substantial amount of time on ShopStyle I love browsing, it's good therapy for me).
Using the ShopStyle.com search engine, I requested to see everything they had on leather dresses... "Should this dress be long or short, black or red". Just then I found it, the perfect dress. I decided to purchase it but as I prepared to click the buy icon, out of nowhere I heard "wake up your dreaming". It was reality calling and I listened. So instead of the buy icon I clicked wish list.
Check out my Wednesday Wish list.

Target Collaborations
Target’s Next Collaboration Features 24 Designers, Including Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, and More
From left: Designers Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Joseph Altuzarra, and Diane Von Furstenberg.
Why should Target limit its partnerships to just one high-fashion
brand at a time when they can partner with 24 of them at once? WWD reports
today that the retailer is collaborating with luxury department store
Neiman Marcus on a holiday collection, available not only at all Target
stores but also at all Neiman Marcus locations and online at both
retailers' websites, starting December 1. Thanks partly to Neiman's cozy
ties with lots of luxury labels, the joint collection will include
products designed by the following 24 CFDA members:
Alice + Olivia
Altuzarra
Band of Outsiders
Brian Atwood

So, basically the CFDA's Christmas party invitation list. Just so the back-scratching circle is complete (or, as WWD
puts it, "to celebrate the partnership"), Target and Neiman Marcus are
donating $1 million to the CFDA. (In other news, Proenza Schouler's
inclusion must mean that they've smoothed over that whole PS1 bag knockoff kerfuffle.)
As for the products themselves: The collection will consist of 50-plus items costing between $7.99 and $499.99, with prices averaging less than $60. Each designer will contribute one to three designs in categories ranging from men’s,
women’s, children’s clothing and accessories, sporting goods, home
goods, and accessories for pets and electronics. In other words, it'll
cover all the same bases as the Missoni for Target collection, only with
more aesthetic diversity, fewer zigzags, and hopefully a smoother
retail operation.
You should still expect these items to sell out quickly, though.
All the products are limited edition, and the two retailers don't
currently have plans to continue their partnership past this one-off
collection, which they've been working on since last December.
Of course, Neiman Marcus and Target can't say enough
nice things about one another. Even though you'd think they might clash
over some details (it's hard to imagine Neiman's allowing any polyester
bedding through their doors, for example), both parties insist they
share the same values. Kathee Tesija, Target’s executive vice president of merchandising, gushed:
We really formed one team and approached this together, as a team ... At times, it was hard to tell who was from the Target team and who was from Neiman Marcus. It was one big melding.
Melding! That's also a good description of what the crowds at Target stores will look like come December.
